Yes. Forget Me Not is a subscription, and every new member starts with a 14-day free trial — full access to reminders and AI gift ideas, with no charge until day 15. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you won't be billed.

Gift Intelligence is our continuously curated library of real, current gift and experience ideas — trending products, independent makers, and local-able activities. Rather than generic "get them a candle" advice, it grounds every suggestion in things people are genuinely loving right now, filtered to the recipient's interests and budget. It's the engine behind each set of ideas the app generates.

When you tap "Get Ideas," the app sends the person's details — relationship, interests, budget, city, and the occasion — to our AI, which returns a tailored gift idea, an experience idea, and a short planning note. Suggestions adapt to how much time is left: around 90 days out it leans toward made-to-order and experiences; at 8–29 days it favors anything that ships standard; at 3–7 days it shifts to fast shipping and local pickup; and at 0–2 days it surfaces same-day and digital options. Where it helps, ideas link straight to OpenTable, Viator, Etsy, or Apple Maps so you can act in a tap.

Birthdays, anniversaries, and any custom occasion you name. Mother's Day and Father's Day are built in and calculated automatically each year — no date to look up or enter. Every occasion supports multiple reminders, so you hear about it early enough to actually do something.

Yes. You can record gifts you've given someone, and the app remembers them. When it generates new ideas, it factors in your gift history so it never suggests something you've already given — helping you stay thoughtful year after year.

Check that notifications are enabled: iPhone Settings → Forget Me Not → Notifications → Allow Notifications. Also confirm the lead time is set in the app under each person's occasion settings.

Your people, occasions, and notes are stored locally on your device with SwiftData — not on our servers. When you generate ideas, we do send the relevant details to our AI service to personalize the result, including the person's name along with their interests, budget, occasion, and city. We never sell your data or use it for advertising — see our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → find Forget Me Not → tap Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Go to the You tab → tap "Restore Purchase." Your subscription will be restored automatically as long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
